Associating my Kpop Biases to my Favorite Books!

Hello hello and welcome back to my blog!

Like the majority of people online, I am a fan of kpop. I got into it in 2017 and three years later, I have a stan Twitter, made friends thanks to it, and stan a few groups. In today’s post, as you might have guessed from the title, I will associate my kpop biases to my favorite reads. A bias is like… your favorite member of a group? I guess? Basically a synonym for the word favorite. At least that’s how I use it. I am super excited to show you guys what I came up with, and maybe make you discover kpop if you don’t know about it?

Chanyeol is my all time bias I think. I just love him so freaking much!!!! He is a main rapper and a vocalist in the group EXO, which debuted in 2011 (almost 10 years omg!!). EXO was one of the first kpop group I discovered, so I am very attached to them and love them very much.

I picked the Gilded Wolves for him, because, like him, the book brings the heat. It has amazing dynamic scenes and some super cute moments and I just…. Loved it so much. I can’t wait for its sequel, I think it comes out in September?

Yukhei is a rapper and part of the NCT group. NCT is a big group, but they all perform in different subgroups. So we have NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream. Yukhei, whose stage name is Lucas, is a member of NCT U as well as WAYV, another group with some NCT guys. WAYV is more focused on the Chinese market. He is a rapper and is super adorable, which is why I gave him the book Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills.

That book, just like Yukhei, made me smile sooooo much. I loved every minute of it. The characters, the simple yet cute romance, the aesthetics.

Vernon is a rapper (I know, I love rappers…) from the group Seventeen. He has a really chill and relaxed vibe and I picture him as a down to earth kind of guy. I say I picture him because… I don’t know him personally, you know? He’s super talented and I love the way her raps a lot. He’s also very funny.

I picked Truly Devious for him because he gives me mad David vibes. They’re both funny, chill, and down to earth. And I want to hug them both and tell them they are perfect.

I couldn’t possibly pick ONE member from Blackpink. I love them ALL. They’re all my biases and I refuse to pick one of them. Blackpink is a girl group that debuted in 2016. They are one of the biggest kpop girl group in their generation I believe. Their songs are really catchy and dynamic.

I chose the book Most Likely, because it has strong friend group vibes. And powerful women in it. I loved it a lot and I loved the friendship the girls in the book have. It reminds me of Blackpink’s bonds.

Seungcheol is the leader and the main rapper of the group Seventeen. He is so freaking CUTE and adorable and I feel like he has a very grounding presence. I love him a lot and I think he deserves the world. He’s a really hard worker and an amazing performer.

I picked the book series Heartstopper for him, because it is super cute and adorable. It doesn’t shy away from some harder themes and presents them beautifully.

Chaeyoung is a rapper in the girl group TWICE. I started getting into TWICE a few months ago and I’m still learning everyone’s names, but Chaeyoung totally stood out to me. I find her super talented and sweet and funny. I love the way she dresses too. I think she’s just so freaking cool.

I gave her the book Felix Ever After, because she reminds me of Ezra, Felix’s best friend in the story. They are both caring, talented, and great people. I think they’d be good friend….

Nayeon is the lead vocalist of TWICE. She’s super adorable and an amazing singer. I’m still getting to know her, but I really wanted to include her in this post because I love her a lot.

I think the book Famous in a Small Town fits her because it was a fun, cute read. It was easy breezy and I get the same vibes from Nayeon. It was also super funny, just like her.

Another TWICE member!!! Momo is so BEAUTIFUL! And very talented too. She’s an amazing dancer omg. I believe she’s TWICE’s main dancer, as well as a vocalist and a rapper too? I’m not sure, correct me if I’m wrong.

Momo gives me some strong girl vibes and that’s why I gave her If I’m Being Honest. In the book, Cameron is a popular and fun girl. She’s also super strong and acknowledges when she’s wrong. When I thought of Momo, this book instantly came into my mind.

BTS is the group that introduced me to kpop and made me want to discover more groups. It was only logical that I included some members of the group in this post. Yoongi is the lead rapper of the group. I love all of his verses and I think he’s an amazing producer too.

I gave him the book Radio Silence, because it’s a book with a good discussion on university and how it’s not made for everyone and Yoongi talks a lot about how school also isn’t for everyone. I love him and this book so, so much.

Namjoon was my first bias as a new kpop stan. I think he look adorable and he’s a great rapper. I love the way he speaks: he just sounds… super smart? If this makes sense? He’s a very kind person and a beautiful human being over all.

I gave him the book Normal People, because he gives me some Connell vibes? I feel like if Namjoon was a student at an university, he’s be kind of like Connell. Calm, smart, kind. I just hope that Namjoon has some better communication skills…

Jimin and Taehyung are adorable. They’re both dancers and vocalists and they are BESTIES! I love them both very dearly and I love their antics and their jokes and just aaaaah I love them ok.

I gave them the book the Black Veins, because it’s a book about chosen family and I think Jimin and Taehyung represent that. They are best friends now, soulmates even (according to them) and I think it is beautiful.

Jungkook is the youngest member in BTS and the main vocalist. He is super cute and funny and I think he has a great sense of style. He’s adorable and super talented. I love his voice.

I gave him the book Red, White, and Royal Blue because he kind of remind me of Alex Claremont-Diaz. They both have some massive golden retriever energy. They’re fun to be around, energetic, and smart.

So that’s it for this post! I wanted to include more members from BTS (Hoseok and Jin), but I couldn’t figure out which book they reminded me of. 😔😔😔😔
